My HomeLab Before and After

This was the first little lap I had set up. Not too much in here when this was taken. Tower Sever: Host-Srv1 HP Proliant ML350 G6 Dual Hex Core CPUs E5645 32GB DDR3 ECC 4x 500GB SAS HDD 2x 30GB SAS HDD Rack Server: Host-Srv2 Dual E5506 Quad Cores 26GB DDR3 ECC 3x 500GB SATA HDDs Cisco 24 Port Switch APC Smart UPS 750 Watt UPS HP PC was used as a PfSense router for testing.

This is the Current version of my Homelab Host-Srv1 (The 5U Server in the Middle) This is the HP from the previous setup. I found the rack mount conversion kit for the serer for £100 and decided I wanted it. Same specs as before. Used as my main Host Server, Running Windows Server 2012R2 and the Hyper-V role. Also uses Veeam to backup my file server. Once again the rack-mount 1U Custom Server, this will be running FreeNas Soon when I add more RAM, currently Offline until then. Currently has: i3 3320T 4GB DDR3 400 Watt 1U PSU No drives Its guts where transplanted into Host-Srv2 (The Viglen Server at the bottom of the rack) The Tower Server in the bottom of the rack, this is a Viglen IX2100 Server. It has: Dual E5506 Quad Core CPUs 26GB DDR3 ECC 3x 2TB HDD 750 Watt PSU Running VMWare EXSi 6.5.0 Now the New Stuff... HP Proliant DL320e Gen 8 I got this for £97 including the rails and added the security bezel for £45 It has: E3-1220 V2 16GB DDR3 EEC RAM 2x 2TB HDDs 400 Watt PSU This server runs Windows Server 2016 Standard So my Servers are as follows: Host-Srv1 - HP Proliant ML350 G6 (converted to rack server) This is running Server 2012R2 and is where my main VMs are running File Server Media Server (Plex, Sonnar) MDT Server for OS deployment over the network Dashboard remote access Server Network monitoring Server Host-Srv2 - The Viglen Server This is running VMWare ESXi 6.5.0 Running a Linux Distro (Ubuntu) As well as a Mac OSX version (Can't Remember the version) And 2 Windows 10 Clients for my Virtual Domain as well. Host-Srv3 - The HP Proliant DL320e Gen 8 This is running Server 2016 Standard It hosts: VPN Server Domain Controller And this Server is on 24/7 And Finally Host-Srv4 Currently Offline due to needing repair and upgrades. Will run ESXi and host my FreeNAS box eventually. Powering my set up is a set of APC Smart UPSes 1 with the LCD Display as seen the other does not. They are both 750 Watt units. One is hooked up to a 6 strip PDU behind Host-Srv1. The other is connected to the VMWare Server and the TV. there is also a PS3 in there for some games too. Other Items: Toshiba P845T Laptop (i3 Model) Late 2012 Mac book Pro (i5 Model) Dell Monitor generic keyboard for interacting with the servers. Cisco Small business Switch 24 Port and full gigabit too with 2 SFP+ ports The Server Rack is an open frame until I got off ebay for £80 so I am happy with it has the square holes making it easy to rack mount my HP Servers.
